A Source of Light and Resiliency for Our Military

Someone holding a Bible wearing fatiguesAt The Word Among Us Partners, we are blessed to touch the lives of almost 34,000 service members and veterans with the truth of the gospel. God is changing lives, and we are reminded of that when we hear back from those you directly support through your donations to our ministries.

“I would like to thank our sisters and brothers at The Word Among Us Partners and their donors for their tireless efforts in building up the Kingdom of God by supporting military personnel and our nation’s veterans. While serving as an Army Chaplain, I was deployed several times to Iraq and Afghanistan. Partners generously supported each deployment, and the troops were always eager to receive the newest editions of The Word Among Us. The daily readings and timely articles became a source of light and resiliency in difficult and challenging times.

After I retired from the military and became a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Chaplain, Partners continued its support of my ministry and provided the magazine to our nation’s veterans in medical centers. It is a wonderful feeling looking into the grateful eyes of one who has sacrificed so much for each of us as they receive their copy. The articles are often a topic of conversation at bedside visits. The Word Among Us has shown our veterans that they are not forgotten and remind our active military that they stand ready to support their noble mission with prayer and God’s word.”—VA Chaplain
